Arsenic has long been recognized as a poison and a contaminant in drinking water, but now concerns are growing about arsenic in foods, especially in fruit juices that are a mainstay for children.
Just heard this from my wife today as she was alerting our daughter. Our almost 4 yr old Gdaughter drinks lots of apple juice as it seems to be her favorite. We will be cutting way back on it. Grape juice too?? Many juices are coming form other countries and our government makes little effort to help us the consumer identify these. Some from China and God only knows whats in those!
75% of apple juice is imported from China. Most "100%" juices like grape, cranberry, pear, raspberry etc. have listed apple juice as a second ingredient. Apple juice made from apple concentrate is not just popular in juice boxes. Often used instead of refined sugar, apple juice is used to sweeten candy, cereals, snack bars baby food and more.
The first two posts: #1 says the US government is the enemy, #2 says other countries are the enemy.
Snap out of it. Hysterical fear will kill you faster than anything anybody is trying to do to you.
Lack of knowledge can kill you really quick!
#1 The U.S. Government is negligent in helping it's citizens to make informed choices.
#2 China is our enemy. They have no concerns as to the contents of their products or it's consequences to the health of Americans or their own citizens.
Snap out of it???

I know China doesn't have the same high standards we have but I also think maybe too much is being made out of this entire thing..
