You will never get me to eat that pie. One bite and next thing you'd know it would be gone and I would be sick. Although, I got sick one time on chocolate at a movie theater, and my friend said to eat something salty, so I ate some popcorn and my stomach was no longer queezy. She called it a ying/yang thing.

I have a recipe for chocolate gravy that was so delicious that I never made it again. Just that I gain weight too easily in my old age.

Do you pour it into a pie crust? Or just a pie pan?

And Jessaka--it doesn't look all that bad for a 10" pie. Not like a real batch of fudge anyway.

Yes, Marlow, it is, because I would eat the whole pie. It may take an entire day, but I would, I would, I would eat the whole pie in the blink of my eye.

Oh well, in that case....

A couple of months ago my daughter and I made a batch of marshmallow cream fudge and I thought it would be interesting for her to add up the calories, both as a math exercise and as a nutrition exercise. (She's a 3rd grader.) Well, the total came out to be more than 6,000 calories for the 9" x 9" pan, so I told her we had to share it with the neighbors. It was painful, but I divided it up and handed out the bulk of it to the people on our street. If we hadn't done that, we would have eaten the whole pan in a couple of days, so I definitely see your point.

It turned out to be a good chance to talk to her about how many calories the average person needs in a day and what happens when you consume more or fewer than that. But it was hard to give so much of it away....

That recipe sounds scrumptious, especially with vanilla ice cream on top. I would even go so far as to add chocolate syrup or hot fudge sauce, too! Thanks for sharing!
