4.97 Costco in Lodi, Ca. I also had reports from Stockton, Manteca and Tracy Costco's they are on sale there also.
Hope everyone has a Great Christmas.
Man. What happened to Costco in Orange County? I had my daughter went to the two locations (Irvine and Fountain Valley) nearest to her house yesterday. Both showed the price at $8.99. She bought four boxes at that price.
Well after having worked in retail myself for 15 years It is understandable that certain areas will close out a product faster than others. Keep watching though. I assume that if the demand is still high in certain areas then those store will not clearance them out as fast.
I don know one thing, I have seen like items at Costco's within ten miles of each other at different price points. Gas for example. The Tracy Ca Costco routinely has some of the lowest gas prices in California. Go figure.
Keep watching though. I assume the when demand breaks the price points will also.

That's probably what they sell for at my local Costco in Lakewood, CA. I may be stopping by there either today or tomorrow.
ahhhhhh poor Americans. So difficult to buy good chocolates in the US. Thank god my GF brought some Belgian truffles and pralines home for Christmas this year.

Don't feel sorry for us, there are many great American chocolate available. The only reason Costco chocolate is getting a recognition on this forum is its low price.
It's not difficult to find great chocolate in America at all. Some artisan chocolate are only sold at one location, but you can always purchase them online. Others have distributors all over the country.
These are only some of the chocolate I have tasted, and I would raise them against European chocolate any time, any day, anywhere:
- Oh! Chocolate in WA
- Candinas in WI
- Donnelly in CA
- Garrison in RI
- Marie Belle in NY
- Amano in UT
- Anna Shea in NY
- Christopher Norman in NY
- Peter's in PA (If you have tasted Graeter's, the best ice cream in America, then you would know that the sinfully rich, thick and huge chunks --sometimes half a bar -- of chocolate handpacked inside Graeter's are from Peter's.)
Editing to add: Husband wants to put Lake Champlain in VT on the list. It's not my favourite, but I agree that it beats out most Italian and many French chocolate we have tried (and we have tried just about all the chocolate available in Italy and quite many in France too.)

I'd MUCH rather have the USA chocolates than that!

There's my peeps putting the European chocosnobs in their place.
I bought some as an 'extra' for forgotten people. Didn't forget anyone so opened them today and I am returning them tomorrow. There is SALT on the outside of each piece of candy!!! Large grains of ROCK SALT! WTH? They couldn't give me anymore of this stuff.
