Verners ginger ale, if you are from Ohio/ Michigan. They still make it, but I am told it is not as good. When I drank one I admit I was not impressed. I like the more fiery ginger ales that are out there.

Not exactly.

When Tab was developed in the 1960s, it was sweetened with Cyclamates, an artificial sweetner. Tab tasted very much like regular coke. In 1969, cyclamates were banned in the US (but not in Canada). Tab was then reformulated using saccharine.

The current Tab is an energy drink unrelated to the soda.

I see that they sell tab in the pink cans at my local grocery store in the soda isle.

Cyclamates was a fantastic artificial sweetener until it was banned. It also was in Funny Face Drink Mix. When I lived in Tennessee, I used to drink a lot of Double Cola. I believe it is still around.

I haven't had RC Cola in years, but I liked it better than Coke. I did a science experiment in junior high where I posited that if people had a chosen favorite out of Pepsi, Coke, and RC, they should be able to consistently identify it in a blind taste test. Nope--most people said they preferred Coke but chose RC in the test.

Back to nostalgia: anyone else remember Aspen? I think it was apple soda.

Fresca and Yoohoo. They are both still around (I think) but it's been a while since I've had one of those..
