I don't think they hate it, but most men are "no fuss, give me a steak, please" people. Too much to fool around with veggies....

Because young men and boys socialize more among themselves than among women (and vice versa) and nourish gender identity, and eating fads are generated and intensified in socialization. The "male media" fosters "manly eating" which gets revalidated in socialized male bonding, and the same happens in the "female media".

Same reason that men drink beer and women drink wine. Men hunt and women shop. Men drive without asking directions, women adjust makeup in mirror and criticize driving.

Why does the OP have to post vague generalizations? Or is it just an opportunity to present several slides in a later port.

The men in my family eat 3-4 vegetables and a similar amount of fruit daily. The women, not so much.

Because they're big babies.

Seriously, you must be hanging out with a certain type.

My husband loves fruit and vegetables more so than meat. I think that idea of men being meat and potato people is a little bit of the golden days!

OP- where do you get this notion that men don't like veggies? I love them. And most men I know eat their fair share. Seems like a baseless generalization.

My dh just likes food

The fruit/veggies aisle of the grocery store is our 1st stop and not because I'm dragging him in that direction either.
