I like both, but I prefer a high quality cantaloupe over a high quality honeydew melon.

I love honeydew, but have never liked cantaloupe at all. I have always thought it smelled like sour milk.

Here in Indiana people often refer to cantaloupe as muskmellon or even "mushmellon.".
