Ok, some people may read my posts and think I'm some kind of girly guy. So let me explain a bit about myself.

I'm over 60, 6'4" and in Viet Nam was 230 pounds. During that period of my life my second favorite activities were drinking and fighting. I lost a few of them but only cause I had had enough to drink to think I could take four at once.

Back to the subject.

I found some Meyers Lemons tonight at the supermarket. They're in season now. Wanna treat? make a sandwich of thin slices of Meyers Lemons, fresh smoked salmon and cream cheese on a pumpernickel bagel. This weekend that is my superbowl sunday breakfast. I may make enough to last all day........who needs wings when you have Meyers Lemons and smoked salmon.

If you haven't tried it, do so. Guarantee you will find it right up there with manna as a gift from heaven.

They really are in season............take advantage of it.

Wow, that sounds really good.

I lucked out last year when my market couldn't sell the bags of Meyers and put them on sale for a dollar a bag. I made an enormous batch of Meyer Lemon Curd and a Meyer Lemon cake with layers of curd.

I love smoked salmon. I've never eaten a Meyer lemon, never seen one in a store.

Heck what is wrong with both? I think the bagels sound great and we are already planning on wings. We are having a huge superbowl party, there will be a bunch of us, well, 2 of us anyway. Yep, this is one of the years we are going nowhere and not entertaining, but we will still play "superbowl party"
