I like homeade coffee cake and boston cream pie. I've also eaten a rum cake (years ago) that had a ricotta filling in it. Gosh, I think it was a bite of heaven.

Loved, loved, LOVED (notice the "past tense") chocolate cake, BUT I'm now a Diabetic II, so pretty much had to say "bye, bye" to any kind of cake/pasteries. Once in a while, wife and I will buy a "no sugar added" small cake (very small or even just a slice), but even then there can be too much sugar in it! She is borderline Diabetic II, so that stuff is basically out for her as well. Use to love making a chocolate cake with lots of chocolate icing on it.........no can do anymore.
