I was really excited to see that they brought frozen foods, but my hopes are basically dashed from looking at some of the nutrition labels. Somebody bought home a brand of personal pizzas they sell and the thing has about 5g of trans fats and 1200mg of sodium. Additionally, they have some hashbrown patties with about 4g of trans fats to.

I'm no angel when it comes to eating healthy, but the thought of somebody filling up on this stuff is downright scary.

I just buy the french fries. I can't see buying anything like the frozen chicken or other items.. Who knows what they have gone through before they reached the dollar tree refrigerator.

Wal-Mart sells nasty Banquet Dinners for a buck or less. I wouldn't buy them. But, any frozen foods at a Dollar store probably come from China. Like some dollar store toothpastes with big brand names on them. I would avoid it all like the plague.

Beans and rice with some salt and pepper would be cheaper and taste better.

Isn't the majority of frozen foods filled with salt and fat? Without that, you have one of those healthy frozen dinners but last time I ate one years ago, I kept checking because I could have sworn by the taste that I was eating the box!

The only food I have ever bought at the dollar store was potato chips and candy. Other than that I would never buy any food from there not even eggs.

Dollar stores have had many recalls and issues with their food products. A few years ago toothpaste that was labeled as Crest and Colgate was sold at dollar stores and contained an ingredient found in antifreeze.

Check the labels of canned and frozen goods and you will see why they are at the dollar store. I won't buy anything at dollar stores except cleaning products.
