Looking for a GOOD nut grinder. Have seen reviews of various ones, electronic or manual, all having serious problems (unable to grinder hard nuts, blades broken, results too coarse,...). Does a good one exist that can grind nuts very fine, even hard nuts? Doesn't matter if it's electronic or manual.

Here what I use. But use pulse and watch carefully or you'll have nut butter. This little gem chops whatever I need to chop and does it very well. I give it five stars; if it ever goes I'll buy another immediately.

I think a coffee grinder would work just fine.

Thanks. Can it grind almonds, brazil nuts without problem? Also, how noisy is it?

I have never had brazil nuts.

It's not noisy bit the actual noise level depends upon what I'm chopping. It won't disturb you.

I use my 7 cup cuisenart to grind almonds for my mom at christmas time. She makes these cookies called butterhorns that require ground almond in them, I grind a whole lb.

as Lubby mentioned most food prossessors will work just fine. I don't know about Brazil nuts, they are about as hard as nuts get.

We always said that my grandmother was quite a ball-buster, but that's a whole different nut.

I have a Pampered Chef slap chop type thing my Mother bought me years ago.
Works great for me and you can see how fine the chop is.
I'd guess the downfall would be only being able to do like 1/2 cup amounts at once.
