What do you think about Lorax-themed range of breakfast items for kids?
Truffula Chip Pancakes - pancakes filled with rainbow sprinkles, topped with more sprinkles and a strawberry yogurt sauce.
The Lorax’s Breakfast - Green Eggs & Ham, served with one Rooty Tooty Bar-Ba-Looty Blueberry Cone Cake, two Truffula Chip Pancakes or two Buttermilk Pancakes.
Rooty Tooty Bar-Ba-Looty Blueberry Cone Cake - a pancake stuffed inside a waffle cone topped with sugary blueberry compote and powdered sugar
Mac ‘n Cheese & Truffula Trees - Macaroni & Cheese with broccoli florets. Served with fresh fruit.
Pipsqueak’s Breakfast - different version of Green Eggs & Ham, served with Rooty Tooty Bar-ba-looty Blueberry Cone Cake, one Truffula Chip Pancake or one Buttermilk pancake.

It seems to me that The Lorax movie, is linked to a slew of sugary, processed kids’ meals at IHOP.

BTW: Nutritional information is not available for any of The Lorax menu items.

We are taking out 4 year old this weekend to see the lorax and i think we are going to go to IHOP first for breakfast then movie then planting a tree. Seems like a nice full family day where he eats sugar loaded processed breakfast, because it it no where near anything he eats on a normal day. And I think that is what is important.

One more reason to hate IHOP, as if I needed any.

The breakfast items sound nasty.

Very sugary and full of fat it seems. I've see the commercials. However if you are only taking your kid there one time in honor of the movie then it's no big deal. If you allow your kids to eat like that on a daily basis then I would say stop now, it's not good for them. Ihop is high calorie and fattening as it is, in fact my WW leader said it's the worst place to go for breakfast if you are watching your weight.

I got the advertisement in the mail, along with a couple coupons. They showed a picture of the Lorax breakfast with the pancakes. To me, it looked gross! I don't remember eating so much sugar when I was young like that, especially for breakfast. I really can't stand IHOP anyway, I rather go to our local diner. It's probably fun for the kids if you take them to IHOP first and then go see the movie.

The few times I've eaten there, I felt full to the extreme, just eating 1 pancake. But, the epidemic of childhood diabetes and what's happening inside their arteries, long-term, should be a concern to parents who's kids are consistently overeating and ingesting saturated fat. Anyways, just my nursey take on things.

The Mac and Cheese Sounds decent, without knowing whether its good quality or bad (i.e Kraft) quality. Everything else is a sugar bomb.

I split the Lorax's Breakfast with Truffula Chip Pancakes with two friends after a night of dancing on Tuesday. Though, instead of just two pancakes, we got four of them and they actually tasted pretty good for being whole wheat. The meal itself is quite large - enough for three people to eat comfortably.
