I always see this on American TV etc. People drinking milk by itself (usually when somebody is reprimanded from drinking straight out of the carton). I actually think milk can taste quite good by itself, but I don't actually drink milk by itself. I don't think it's as much of a thing in other countries, or maybe it is?

The milk I drink is leftovers from cereal, flavoured milk, with tea, milkshakes.etc. I don't really know many people who drink plain milk

I love skim milk. That's my favorite drink.

I don't drink cow milk, but I drink almond milk or coconut milk by itself on rare occasion.

I have been drinking "plain milk" my whole life. Unfortunately chocolate and strawberry flavored milk you sometimes find in schools or in kid's meals at fast food places just add a lot of unnecessary sugar. My kids don't drink anything but skim or 2% either. Whole milk tastes too rich for us all after years of 2%. I do buy whole milk for some recipes but not very often.

I think most Americans drink "plain" milk.

I notice the milk in the US, or most other places for that matter, tastes different to the milk we get here. It's a lot creamier. I'm not sure what the differences are, I think our milk is less processed. Our milk doesn't have that strong creamy taste. It's not watered down, it just has a less strong taste.

The American public has been hornswoggled by the dairy industry into thinking they need bovine teat fluid to be healthy. "Milk, it does a body good" was one of the advert campaigns. I stopped drinking the stuff when I was 12. I'm now somewhere over 60 and as healthy as a draft horse. Rice or almond milk go over my cereal.

I do love my extra-sharp cheddar, though. Can't live without that.

Soy milk, almond milk, coconut milk every day on cereal or buy itself in a glass. Or a smoothie. Or homemade ice 'cream'. No cow milk thank you. Too many hormones and chemicals. But, when I really want to have a glass of cow, I go to the local health food market and buy a small bottle. About twice a year.

What is this almond milk you speak of? Sounds intriguing and delicious! I wish they had that here. Is it sweet at all?
