Here in Navajo country you don't see Lamb very often, but lots of Mutton which the Navajo's love!
It is much stronger than Lamb and not that expensive.

At my main store, there's just one 1 lb package of ground lamb available throughout the entire meat section, or anywhere in the store that I've found. That's hardly a choice, but it's better than no lamb at all I suppose.

wow, $3.59 for leg of lamb, grab me two or 3 please!!! We really don't have any large chain stores in NWA but have a couple small ones and our favorite local grocery store. Leg of Lamb is much higher than that. Sam's usually has a decent selection but it is still out of sight price wise.

Very, very expensive, so I don't get it very often. When I want a nice boneless roast or lamb chops, I always go to Sam's Club, because I know they will always have it, and at a fairly good price.
I used to buy ground lamb all the time and just make lamb patties with mint jelly. It was very cheap, but no longer.

I've got those loin chops at Sam's Club also - surprisingly decent and definitely a fair price! Like you, I also remember getting ground lamb for a great price but I don't see it as often and never for that low price anymore. The ground lamb years were when we were in Virginia in the 90s.

There's a small selection at our grocery store, but like someone said, it's over priced. But damn it tastes good. I usually buy lamb chops from the butcher, I'd get 12 for $18.99 . I could live on lamb and rice forever.

I think all the grocery stores here have it, some with a larger selection than others. It's not something I buy, so I couldn't tell you if its expensive or not, as I've never paid attention to it.

You see it from time to time. I don't buy it there and cook it myself though. I like it on a rack in gyros the best. We have several places where you get huge ones that are crammed full. They shave it off the slab right in front of you while you wait. Love those gyros! YUM
