I love INSTANT MIX Iced tea,you can make it as weak or strong as you want it.... Trouble is you cant find any now WITHOUT CARAMEL COLOUR!! (It makes it taste like crap)

Heres what I drank/loved for many years

http://web.archive.org/web/200410241...weet_lemon.asp

Now it has MALTODEXTRIN in it and the sugar is 16 instead of 18g.. (Well most are 16 now I think thiers is 17 but there is no blasted reason to add maltodextrin to a reg sugar sweetend product)

If anyone out here knows of ANY instant LEMON ICED TEA MIX w/o caramel colour or maltodextrin thats made now,I WOULD LOVE TO TALK TO YOU!!!

Most popular brand bottle teas all taste like syrup flavor tea and not real brewed flavor.

I expect teas to carry the bitter and acidity taste and not all these flavor teas that all you taste is the lemon or raspberry and not much tea flavor.

Ahmad loose leaf. It's a blend of Darjeeling, Assam with Earl Grey. I purchase it from an Indian market. It come in a 1 pound box and costs around 15 dollars or so.

To make a gloves I use 3-4 Tbl. I bring the water to barely a simmer, stir cover, remove from heat and let sit anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.

I either drink unsweetened or with ginger, orange, lemon, lime or any fruit and berries depending on what I have on hand.

If I want it a little sweeter I'll use honey, coconut sugar, palm sugar or agave syrup. In the winter I'll steep with whole cinnamon, anise or vanilla paste. A drop of almond, or cherry extract is outstanding!

The sky is the limit! I'd never thought of rosemary knowing how wonderful mint is! I think I'll try basil too!

I know a great iced tea is distinctive, rare and elusive. I don't even try. I always keep a jug of Crystal light in the fridge, but I water it down a bit.

I make mine with 4 bags of Earl Grey, 1 bag of Red Rose black (similar to liptons), half a cup of sugar and what really makes it, I've discovered, is a few slices of orange rind. I think my jug is for about 6 cups of water.
