I don't want to cook a chicken or turkey but want some gravy that tastes good....does anyone know how to do this?

You can buy gravy mix, otherwise no. The meat juice is what gives gravy is colour and flavour.

You can buy chicken stock, which is stronger than chicken broth. Mix a small amount with some olive oil, get this hot and mix in some flour to make a rue. Stir constantly to get the lumps out.
When the rue is bubbly add the more of the stock until you get the amount and thickness you desire. I make gravy alot this way. You can make white gravy using just a small amount of canola or veg oil for your rue.
