What's up with this place? Has anyone actually been there?
Over the past six months I keep seeing commercials. I have never seen one before though in person. No clue where they are at.
It says-all you can eat salad, pizzas and dessert for $3.99. To me, that sounds just too cheap to be safe. The quality of the food would have to be so low.
We stopped at one when we were moving out here from Denver.
Our expectations were not high at all, we were staying in a motel in some tiny little town, Cici's was one of two choices.
It actually was better than we expected.
There is one in our area...we've tried it, and were pleasantly surprised..not bad at all. They offer lots of variety in the pizzas and you can literally eat yourself into a stupor! Also offered is a few pasta dishes, salad, dessert, all you can drink sodas. It's a busy place as you might imagine (the low price bring them in)..and great for kids...they have a game room to entertain them while the adults finish their meals.
We have one near where I live. It's not bad for the price. The amosphere is typical fast food, but there is enough of a variety to please anybody. Great for a large family.
I have eaten there in South Carolina and in Maryland. They are no high end chain but the food is very good. They have a good selection of pizza, pasta, and salads. I don't know why they are so cheap. I see a lot of people who eat there. Some appear to eat their own weight before they leave so I don't know how they make any money.
I'm in Chicago and haven't encountered one yet, but I've heard of them. Like Pizza Hut, kids will probably love it, since they seem to eat any pizza put in front of them. I would imagine adults, especially in Chicago, would only go there to take kids there. We have way too many incredible pizza places here to frequent a chain pizza buffet.
We had a Cici's in Bristol but it closed a couple years ago, I never really understood the concept, it had the quality of Chucky Cheese's without the atmosphere, no free tickets for cheap plastic toys, no mallets with mice popping their heads up, no bad animatronics stage show....nothing!

LOL
That is what the commerical reminds me of!! The food looks like something you would only serve at a 6 year olds birthday party, only they are trying pass it off as something better.
At least at Chuck E Cheese you know you are getting low grade food and it's all about the kids playing games.
OK for the kids, in my opinion the salads are actually not bad, but the pizza and pasta are not really made for an adult's taste. Too bland. Not enough variety.
