Mmmmm we used to cook banana boats in the coals. We would split a banana (don't peel) and put chocolate chips and marshmallows inside the banana, then place the banana in the coals until it was hot and melted.

A mixed group. Probably half are either vegetarian or vegan, the rest eat meat.

Some of them grabbed a package of my Smart Dogs (veggie hot dogs) and put them and roasted them on the fire.

We love "campfire pineapple upside down cake". You take a cake donut, add some brown sugar, a couple of pats of butter, place a pineapple ring on it, a couple of marachino cherries, wrap in foil and place in the coals. Delicious!

Oh! I want one of those now! I don't camp so I'm going to set my coffee table on fire and get this started!

I love to wrap potatoes in foil and place them under the burning coals. Fabulous baked potato, smoky flavor.

That is a great idea! Never saw that done before, and I have camped all my life.

You could put a fire ring in your back yard!

We had one at our old house. We never used it, and gave it away when we moved. The coffee table is so much easier. And much more fun.
