One of our local stores-where we usually do all shopping-had Keebler fudge cookies, all varities, 10 for $10, Duncan Hines cake mixes 10/$10, Bisquick 10/$10, JIF 3/$5, Smuckers jellies 4/$5, Heinz ketchup (lg) 3/$5.

Nice thing is you don't have to buy the 3, 5 or 10 to get the savings.

Could you be talking HY-VEE they have alot of those sales,I've been snapping them up lately.

Whats irritating is I bought a pretty small tomato for $1.31 the other day and trying to find a good one was a nightmare, most of them were so over-ripened.You would think before they got to that stage they would lower the price they are just going to have to trash them anyways.

that makes me mad too. All the food that is going to waste, you'd think they'd put it on big sale. Nope. They'd rather trash it.

Mystree-No it's Elden's Food Fair here in Alex. The nice thing is you don't have to buy the total # of items to get the sale price.

Same here with tomatoes and produce-lower the prices and they'll move.

I'm not as concerned about grocery prices as I am gas prices. There is enough competition with foodstuff and stores that you can always find a deal here or there. However gas prices are fixed with little margin (the stations themselves don't make much themselves, I wonder where all that profit goes?), and it takes gas to go to stores where we live.
