Yes, I reflected back on how I used the one I used to have, before it broke, and I realized that

A) I did not use it often,
B) because it was heavy I preferred to leave it on the counter,
C) I don't need to make large batches of food

.... so I decided a 9 cup would be better ..... also cheaper!

Just wanted to report back, in case anyone was holding their breath, wondering how I was liking my new 9-cup Cuisinart...

well, I am loving it. My old one was one of the original Cuisinarts sold in the US, from the late 70's/early 80's. I only used the slicing blade on that one (which had to be dull after 25+ years of use!), and the bowl was really small.

So far I have sliced cucumbers and radishes and chopped onions in my new one. I love it! Its going to increase my cooking because it makes things so easy. I can't wait to make pie crust, pizza dough, and apple crisp. I hate cutting up all the apples for apple crisp- now I can throw them in this thing and be done in minutes!!!
