My Dad was just told today at the store that Campbell's Bean with Bacon soup was being discontinued! Has anyone else heard this? Is it true? Say it ain't so!

I'm just under 40, and I've loved it all my life. It's like the best comfort food, with some crumbled-up saltine crackers thrown in. My 4 year old nephew hardly eats anything but. My 65 year old Dad was almost ready to cry!

Should we bombard Campbells with e-mails?

Funny you should mention that-while shopping the other day I noticed that was missing in the Campbell's soup aisle.

Oh no - this soup has been around forever.... I remember being in kindergarten and watching The Wizard of Oz on a black and white tv and eating Bean and Bacon soup from a tv tray. Yeah, I know, I have odd things in my memory bank.

So sad if this soup is gone...

Wonder if they have some on Amazon?

Default Right from the can

This is one of the condensed soups I love straight from the can; cold or warm. Lay the can up on the engine of your truck for about 300 miles and it's a big 10-4 good buddy Thick ain't the word for this stuff. I hope it doesn't go exstinct. If it does it will be resurrected with a different taste you know.

Oh no - a bearer of such potential bad tidings! C's B with B is my favorite canned soup! I'll be stopping at the store on my way home tonight.

I went to the Campbell's website and there is nothing there about d/c the soup. Here is the bean w/bacon soups page:

Campbell's Welcome - Condensed Soups

Here is the FAQ page and a link to send Campbell's an email:

Campbell Soup Company - Contact Campbell

Happy Souping!

Could be the store is discontinuing it.. I have seen that happen where they didn't sell enough so they quit selling it.

I love their bean soup. I'll look for it in my store today. Like Keeper said, maybe it's just discontinued due to lack of sales.
