What`s your husbands or wifes favourite dish? And how often do you cook it? Weekly? Monthly?
My husbands favourite dish is pasta with all kinds of cream sauce :-( I loved pasta with cream sauce many years but since i started watching the scale, i am not going to cook this quiet often. I prefer the less calorie dishes. We`re going to italian restaurants a lot - so he can have the pasta and I am having fish.
There is no doubt, it is spaghetti and I make it every few months. When I do, I usually make enough to freeze.. He like home made meat balls, plus a little Italian sausage in them. He doesn't care about garlic bread or anything like that, just the spaghet and a big green salad. Then he eats so much he thinks he is having a heart attack cause his belly aches...
I think his second choice is split pea soup, again I made enough to last and some to freeze, we have it about every couple of months.
My guy loves pasta, too. I make it at least once a month--different kinds, but no cream sauces. Luckily he loves pesto sauce and will even rave about an olive oil, lemon and garlic sauce I whip up. I think it's the carbs he mostly loves. I've switched to whole wheat and he's fine with that. Once in a while, for a special treat, I'll get frozen cheese tortellini--he's wild about that dish.
I don't think my husband has a favorite dish outside of FOOD, he will eat whatever I prepare and put on the table. I cook at home most of the time so whatever I feel like putting together and calling time to eat he is good with it.
My favorite is BBQ, smoked brisket and smoked pulled pork.
My wife's favorites are grilled fish, chicken and pork.
