We worked outside from about 9:00am - 6:00pm cleaning up the timber and clearing out a lot of trash (left by the previous renters), storm debris, things we own that needed to be sorted and discarded, pulled up a bunch of old trees, burned a lot of old papers. So, we and our neighbors/landlords who worked with us all day went out to have a wonderful Steak Dinner with Salad, Baked Potato, Steamed Vegetables and a salad. It was all delicious and I think I am the only one still awake at the moment.
We are having beef kabobs. they are marinating right now. I am making tabula. We haven't had it in maybe 15 years but have always liked it. I saw it in the grocery store a couple of days and ago. of course I always add a few other veggies to it. And we are having bok choy.
Tonight I am cooking a big pot of kidney bean soup with potatoes and carrots in it...nice and thick and creamy, with it chilie and lime pickle,yogurt and lassi. For dessert 1/2 a grapefruit.
Left over vermicelli with homemade marinara, roasted chicken leg quarters.
