We are having the granddaughters, husbands and little ones over tonight. Our daughter and hubby are still on a cruise: I want to keep it simple, so we are having Grown up Mac and Cheese for us and plain for the little ones: by plain, I mean, out of a frozen package...I am adding a little cheese, but I am sure, either way they will be fine. I will have a salad bar as well. They always love making their own salads, with lots of choices and 3 kinds of dressing: for dessert it is Ice Cream Sundays. The kids will be happy and it is a way to get rid of some ice cream bars (actually sandwiches) I bought and we aren't crazy over. I will put !/2 bar in each dish, have 2 toppings, nuts and whip cream. Oh, I am making herb flavored toast as well.

We are feeling a bit puny around here; so it will probably some type of soup.

I'd like to have tomato soup and grilled cheese.

A big sign on Almrausch's kitchen door says the following:

,,Almrausch's chef is taking this Saturday off due to lack of appreciation and irregular attendance for dinner this week! Send in a request and schedule for the following week if and when you plan to eat here next week! '' Chef Almrausch

Going to my MIL's for a birthday dinner, both BIL and SIL have birthdays this weekend. We are having lasagna, meatballs, sausage, garlic bread and salad. Cheese cake and devil's food cake with Cream cheese frosting for dessert. I will have the devils food cake since I made it and it's lower fat because I used apple sauce in place of the oil.

BBQ chicken breasts and thighs. Taking a portion of the rib sauce and adding lemon, brown sugar, pureed cilantro and "stuff" so it tastes different. Hmmmm..... side salad of herbs and mixed greens and, maybe roasted, waffle cut sweet potatoes?
