I have a gas stove so I can still cook and my pilot light is not electric. I also made red beans and rice, all I have to do is cook the cutlets.

Weekend: I made chicken and white bean chili (delicious!)

Today: I am making a corn chowder with roasted tomatillo and poblano.

It's super windy, hoping we don't lose power. I do have gas stove though.

I am sorry, hope you soon feel better. There is something like that going around here but luckily it seems to only be lasting about 3 or 4 days. Oh, BTW, most of you know I am slightly Dyslexic: when I first read your posting, I thought your said "it't looking like Lent" and I wondered what kind of religion you have in UK we don't have here..??
