For restaurant dining - you can find me inside eating, any other kind of dining I'd prefer to be outside or in a sun room.

Either one, but I like going to the beach with a slight breeze and sitting under our umbrellas. I love sharing my food with the seagulls. I find it amusing to see how close I can get them to come.

LOVE eating outside, whether at home or a restaurant. The drought in the midwest this summer was good for something, no mosquitoes! We sat outside every night after work. normally the skeeters have chased us back in by 6:30 or so.

When the weather is clement here in Philly I try to have my dinners outside in my little concrete container garden, insects aren't usually a problem. When I dine out I avoid the sidewalk seating many restaurants offer here, it makes me very ill at ease. The sidewalks are too small, occasional pedestrians hawking gobs. A friend of mine said he was walking past Rouge (a popular restaurant with sidewalk seating on Rittenhouse Square) and he saw a mounted patrolman's horse dump about 50 pounds of dung right next to the diners there.

However, one of my favorite restaurants, Effie's on Pine St., has an enclosed brick walled garden which I love to eat in.

I wish the drought had that same effect for us. Unfortunately, last winter was so mild that it didn't kill those nasty things off, so they were extra bad this summer. Between the fear of West Nile (we have a family member that has it) and the extreme heat this summer, we didn't eat outside all summer. Now the weather is getting nice enough to eat outside but the mosquitoes are still really bad.

Bummer Debz. We had a mild day yesterday, and my husband was outside on the deck for quite awhile. Unfortunately I was on the stationary bike the whole time!

We have a screened in porch so we can have the best of both worlds mainly because bugs absolutely love me and I cannot be outside after the moonrise unless I am dipped in 99% deet or on the screened in porch.
