I vaguely remember Jack In The Box in my hometown..
it's also where I had my first taco, in all it's deep fried glory.. Way before Taco Bell
Also deep fried burritos (now known) as chimichangas..

They made this awesome breakfast jack sandwich on an onion roll.. Best fast food breakfast ever.. of all time

After the E-Coli scare in the 80's they changed the name to plain ole "Jacks"
Well scare is not the right word they did after all kill a child..

I'm not sure where you live, but in the US the chain is still known as Jack in the Box.

I believe it was only our little Jack in the Box that changed the name.
I was a youngster at the time and didnt think of worldly events like this
