but chicken with garlic, olive oil, rosemary, lemon, and salt & pepper is the way we do chicken at our house. BUT, you really need to enjoy garlic to want to make this; we do, A LOT!

Good luck!

Those are potatoes. Peru, the home of potatoes, has more varieties than your average grocer could count. I buy my potato medley at the 99c store around here, but Trader Joes's also carries them if you want to try them.

I have had them before. We have 8-10 varieties of potatoes in most groceries.

You can add lemon or lime juice, garlic and pepper...simmer in the liquid. Serve You could vary that and use almost any iquid, I've used bottled italian dressing, or any of a variety of dressing favors, or a good barbque sauce....serve over rice.

I was thinking about breakfast myself...

It really is an excellent stick to your ribs meal and very, very delicious and addicting (like we cook it once a week addicting).

Little tubers. I especially like waxy, moist Yukon Golds in this recipe but any smallish, thin-skinned potato with low to medium starch like new potatoes, Yellow Finns or red-skinned will do. In the version pictured above I bought a mix of purple, red and yellow potatoes.

If you have had them before, then why did you ask what they were?

Incidentally, there are over 3000 varieties of potatoes in Peru. 8-10 varieties sure doesn't seem like much in comparison.

I am also someone who does not like the taste of chicken. Even when I buy organic, range-free, blah, blah, blah, there is still a chicken taste that I don't like.

I basically have to cook dishes that completely drown out the taste of chicken.

And I actually don't end up cooking much chicken at home because of this.

You can try to prepare the chicken the "Caribbean way," which gets rid of the "chickeny" flavor. Put the frozen or chilled chicken into a big bowl and cover w/ water. Add about 1/2 cup of vinegar or lemon juice and a teaspoon of salt. Put the chicken in the refrigerator in the vinegar-water to defrost or for a couple of hours.

Pour off the chicken water and season the chicken. You can try something simple like salt, crushed garlic and black pepper. Rub the spices into the chicken, and put it in the fridge for at least 1 hour. Now after you've cooked the chicken, all you should taste is deliciousness.

If you don't like the taste of Chicken why don't you buy and cook something else? Lemon Chicken is very good but believe it or not it STILL tastes like CHICKEN.
