You need a quick digestible protein after working out. I mix whey protein with milk for the casein and then mix that with a pack of sweetened fruity oatmeal.

This gives you .. sugar - sucrose and lactose..to make muscles grow better... a quick digestible protein, whey protein and casein, and a long digestion carb - oats. he fruit gives a bit of fructose and fiber and some trace viamins/minerals. The fruit ain't doing much tho, since it's such a small amount.

For me, it's the perfect after workout drink. bUT .. you gotta be able to drink something thats "chunky".
I guess you could blend it into a milkshake, but then I'd have to wash the blender. I just shake it up in a sport bottle.
OR any bottle for that matter. In Iraq i used the liter water bottles on the pallets.

To truly get the most from your protein supplementation, you will need to utilize both types of protein in your repertoire of supplements. Let's expand on whey a little bit first. I like to start with whey because it is better known and many have some background understanding of it.

Yes it's normal when you rinse beans for them to look like they are getting suds.

Another idea: make a hummus out of white kidney beans. Substitute white kidney beans for Chick Peas. Whirl in a blender with the other usual hummus ingredients to taste. Sometimes I leave out the tahini because I don't like to stir it or I don't have it.

Yum, that sounds delicious! I'll have to try that.
