I've had a lot of Indian curries in my day and have yet to find one that i would describe as mushy and slimey. however if food courts are where you are judging the quality of your food i would agree on your assessment of most of the food coming from that locale.
However we all have our likes and dislikes , for me its Italian and Mexican, also yuk

Love all types of curry, and Indian foods in general. I find it such a warm, comforting cuisine, but to each their own.

Some malls have this dreck in their food courts and the odor ( not aroma!) drifts out to permeate the entire center...I don't shop at these places anymore. I'm quite surprised that other shops in the malls don't complain of the stench.

I've travelled to a few third world countries where the powerful reek of curry is overwhelming; I definitely cancelled plans to visit India when I was much younger...no point in being queasy and downright ill on vacation.

You betcha I dislike curry!
.
Indian food...third world countries...meh, I'll pass on it.

shocked to read this...I would say it is one of the healthiest food out there. Alone the Tumeric is so healthy for your body. Eating the big varieties of lentils saves our household so much money/week. I could talk so much about....

My daughter is vegetarian and eats a lot of dishes prepared with lentils. I don't like them, but to each his own. Meat loaf and mashed potatoes for me.

I am a vegetarian, and Indian cooks are the most creative when it comes to cooking vegetables. It is basically healthy especially when cooked at home, some restaurants use a bit too much oil.

I live five minutes away from Edison, NJ and they have a huge Indian population. Oak Tree Road is loaded with restaurants, shops and grocery stores. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon is to just explore some of those grocery stores. I do all my vegetable and spice shopping there.
