Did a search and was surprised there wasn't a thread on this already.

So, how do you top your french fries?

Just plain salt?

Maybe chili?

Chili and cheese?

Or maybe poutine?

Ranch dressing instead?

Perhaps you prefer "Animal Style" (a la In N Out) with a ton of stuff on it?

Or something else?

Do tell ....

years ago when I was a teen, (maybe 100 or so years ago) one of our little drive in restaurants served what they called wet shoes. They were french fries or shoestring potatoes topped with gravy. I will add, tech, for those who do not know, shoestring potatoes are a little different from french fries but often, when we were younger we thought of them as being the same, just different names. Now I really like my fries just plain, or maybe with a little ranch dressing...

Either ketchup, spicy mango mayonnaise, mustard, or salt n malt vinegar. Depending on my mood.

Salt and ketchup. Unless I'm also having fish, in that case, tartar sauce.

Garlic on the fries and aioli to dip! I'm also partial to animal fries but only occasionally

Salt, maybe some pepper and BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.

Usually salt, sometimes ketchup, rarely tartar sauce. Which by the way tastes good on baked potatoes too.

I dip mine in orange sherbert.

Don't knock it until you try it.
