Here's another from me. The cold "salad", made from leftover asparagus, peas, green beans, cottage cheese and mayonnaise, that my mother forced on us, proclaiming that it was a great delicacy. I wasn't allowed to leave the table until I had gagged-down all of it. I would just as soon have had to eat lutefisk. Child-abuse, for sure.

BEEF LIVER! I'll never forget the one time that I thought it looked so tasty in its beef gravy and onions. I fixed myself a healthy portion on top of a bed of rice and was so ready to eat. As soon as I took a bite, I almost puked. The texture KILLED me. UGH UGH UGH GROSSSS lol

Liar, liar, pants on fire. You can grill some things and make a decent salad. Don't even try to tell me you can't.

If I showed up on your doorstep toting a peach pie and a bottle of white wine, you'd cook dinner for me. No matter how it turned out, I'd eat it.

I was also told you couldn't leave the table til you eat your veggies..

well,,, that didn't endear me to veggies later in life....I rarely eat them now being over 50

a high school friend had a mother similar to "carrie's" mother a real wacko
she wouldn't let him go to mcdonalds or kfc..
well, when he went to college he went to these places everyday... now he is as big as a house

I can distinctly remember having to sit at the table until I finished my dinner, long after everyone else had left. But I can't, for the life of me, remember what it was I was trying to choke down.
