Our Wal Mart has been switching over to their own brands for almost a year now. In the canned goods mostly Great Value which is their brand. They are stopping carrying certain brand items like Davids sunflower seeds & kernals they have a generic brand only now. Croutons the same thing so I just don't buy many grocery items there. On produce items this time of year, you are buying from the same produce growers and packers regardless of what brand you purchase.

Wow that is a good price! Our $ store doesn't carry refrigerated stuff and I just looked at our local grocery just a few minutes ago. The bagged salads were $5.99 and baby spinach was $6.99 each. I just bought 2 head of romaine do chop up ourselves.

In my latest salad in a bag purchase, last one too, I'll make my own from now on, there were these things that looked like something off a pine tree or a weed. Tasted like grass, just horrible. I managed to pick them out of the salad. So looking forward to spring (end of May here) when I can have a garden and my own salad fixins!
