I find seedless watermelons to be less tasty and so I think I would feel the same about a Mango. Something about the sweetness as you get closer to the seed...not unlike how I feel about meats without bone...yuck.
They have special "mango slicers" at the store for that. I personally do not like mangoes. They have an underlying "rotten" flavor to me. Give me a fresh Utah peach any day.
I don't know how a pomegranate can be seedless when the whole inside of the fruit is all seeds.
Since the arils are technically part of the seed coat it wouldn't be "seedless," but it sure would be nice to have arils full of only juice. There are cultivars labeled as "seedless" that have small, soft, chewable seeds at least.

That's a new one. I love mangos but I do not care for the variety sold in grocery stores. They must have chosen that variety for shipping characteristics and aesthetics (like most fruit in America) because the flavor is very poor compared to other varieties. If you come across some yellow Ataulfo/honey mangos you should give them a try. It's like comparing a good ripe heirloom beefsteak tomato to a half red, rock-hard, mealy, hot house roma. It's like night and day. There are a ton of great mango varieties, but good luck finding them in regular grocery stores.
Every time I cut a mango, I think there must be some trick to it that other people use that I just don't know.
I did get something neat for the pomegranate...it's a plastic bowl with holes cut in it. You cut the pomegranate in half, score several lines on it, turn it upside down on the plastic bowl and tap it a couple of times. All of the seeds come right out that way.
My daughter would eat a pomegranate and a mango every day if I were willing to prepare them and they (pomegranates anyhow) were available year round. She's been begging me to get a pomegranate tree.
I say cut it like you would an Avacado and pick the pit out.
Sure, but avocados aren't messy and the pit comes out cleanly, unlike the mango.
My mango splitter helps some but still is messy, and you waste a lot of fruit unless you pick it off the pit.
