I ate eggs benedict at a lunch meeting today and gravy on the chops tonight. I wonder if this is how an alchoholic feels at an AA meeting. Back to yogurt and fruit tomorrow morning... BTW, my ancestors were dutch and german.
Oh Maggie-I feel your pain-I left for work at 5AM and not home til at leats 6PM. Two hungry kids,hubby-long commute. I did lots of cooking on weekends-things that would go for leftovers,etc.
I would come home to not only our 2 kids but their friends-to this day they remember every meal I fed them- It was so hard at the time but so worth it. It is a memory I treasure.
Looks like I'm going to have to try this bernaise sauce. I don't know what we're doing tonite. I forgot to take something out of the freezer. DH will be disappointed. DD gets home around 3 so I can have her take something out then. OOOOO just thought of something - I bet those cube steaks will defrost pretty quickly! Maybe I should try the chicken fried steak tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Denise I was thinking the same thing this morning-wouldn't it be so nice to have someone prepare a week's worth of meals-of course it's costly but would be wonderful-if only for a week. Oh I forgot the person to clean up after!!!

Tonight..I am marinating boneless, skinless chicken thighs in milk, basil, garlic powder, tarragon, and seasoned salt...then before cooking, I will roll them in bread crumbs and bake them.

I think tonight is another big salad night......baby romaine, sliced salami and pepper turkey, cucumbers, tomatoes, green bell pepper, sliced mushrooms, carrots, sesame seeds, cheddar cheese, and croutons!! We usually make some sort of rolls or biscuits to go with.
Try to lose about 5 pounds......swimsuit season is fast approaching!! And I am being good, having yogurt and fruit for lunch
