Thanks elston for saying that it gives me more peace of mind. I hate wasting food but I would hate more if one of my family got sick from me trying to save less than $2 eggs.

Hey we are having the same meat tonight! I have new red potatoes boiling skin on with a couple of bay leaf in the pot to make potato salad too.

Well done Elston - you can do it!!!

I saw this book today and thought of you and all other foodies trying to eat well, but cut the calories...She says the book "is more about cooking creatively than it is about dieting, more about pleasure than denial."

THE ART OF LOW-CALORIE COOKING by Sally Schneider and also a newer version...A New Way to Cook

I'm going to hunt around the bookstore now!

I think I'm going to make stuffed pork chops. I got a good, easy recipe from allrecipes.

Dinner tonight will be the remainder of my beef-shank stew.

It was a nice afternoon watching the original football Titans beat the previously undefeated new-age Titans.

That would be:

J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS!

Good for you elston & Charley, keep up the good work.

We are finishing up great hot pastrami sandwiches on hot, crisp Jewish Rye bread and Kosher pickles. So I don't know if I will be cooking tonight.

I may follow this example in a day or two. We will have a lovely 75° and sunny day soon and I will sit outside with the kitties and pooch and meditate in the aromas. Aromas of the grill not the animals.

I am making an allrecipes meal tonight; with a little less butter than it calls for. I just can't bring myself to put two sticks in!

Amazing Italian Lemon Butter Chicken

I'll serve it with a spinach salad and some garlic bread.
