Thanks for the suggestion Jaxson.....but I think I am going with the sweet and pungent style I described......just took me awhile to figure it out.....I got lots of good suggestions however.
mushroom and garlic sounds like it could be a marsala wine type sauce...?
The concert was really wonderful.....and I was dressed very appropriately for Portland Maine.... this is very much a dressy casual sort of town....at best. I fit right in.
Oh my the talk of my favorite meat has me salivating so much I need a bucket under my chin! I will eat them anyway but prefer fried. elston since yours are thicker how about stuffing them with seasoned stuffing or mushrooms & garlic? Brown them up a bit then pop them in the oven to finish off. When I do the mushroom and garlic they stay very moist. How was your concert last night? Did you see fabulous dressed folks?
My crockpot gets used about once a week here but I tend to use it more in the summer as to not heat up the kitchen so much. Can't think of a thing that has gone into it that hasn't come out tender and tasty!
That sounds so good..... oh my...... and it really sounds like stick to the BONES good... like WARM the body good... I AM SO COLD..... LOL....
Ok... so I really need to pitch some cash into a toaster oven if I am going to get one.... can't skimp right? LOL I have been staring down my toaster I got before I even got married (some no-name thing).... sending it googly eyes hoping it kicks the bucket....

I have this one, and I love it.. it doesn't have a rotisserie, I guess you have to spend another $100 to get that..
skbs you get what you paid for right? I would rather buy a little better something then a cheap one and have a dud taking up real estate in my kitchen. Then again with the previous posts on how appliances aren't lasting as long I might have to rethink that habit huh?
Kids in our county are being released 2 hours early due to the snow it doesn't look that bad from my windows. But it is blowing so maybe the roads are drifting.
Yes elston! See I can talk to you with basics and you get me thanks for that my family needs every little detail and measurements. Not that I mind sharing I do of course I am in this thread. It is good at times because I suppose I just do a dab of this a little of that cooking for so long it makes me stop and think too.
Morning everyone, soup turned out great last night. Perfect for a chilly evening. Tonight for dinner chicken stroganoff. Just like beef, but everything beef related, (broth and meat) switched to chicken. Hubby loves it.
Wow-Not fair here-I'm drooling with all this pork talk! I love pork anyway.
Say I looked for the Goya Mojo but limited as it is here I'll have to get it when I go home to NJ-along with anchovy paste, sazon, etc. So I saw a bottle of Hoisin sauce and thought chicken thighs-boneless skinless-cooked with that might be good. Anyone ever try that?
Lisa-meant to mention before about your mother's pork chops-ours would break on the plate as you tried to cut them. Lethal weapons.
