It's late as usual when I post and all the excitement of the day is gone. Hardly anyone is active on the thread and I wind up reporting what WAS for dinner instead of what WILL be dinner.

Anyhoo... in a rare treat we return to the days of sausage, which we don't often have for fattiness and calorie considerations. Add to that saurkraut. Add to that the closest rendition I can make of my childhood friend's German mother's potatoes with bacon and onion and we had a very starchy but delicious meal. The type of peasant food people who lived on farms and did hard labor every day could eat on a regular basis and get away with.

Hey, it's almost TGIF! I hope everyone's doing as well as possible as we head into the weekend. For those in the brunt of winter's frost, it's another day closer to spring.

mmmmmm, german comfort food, reminds me of my childhood. I have a bowl of kraut in the fridge begging for some sausage and spareribs.

I've got some leftover sausage, a jar of kraut, and a plan for dinner tomorrow.

Thanks BJH!

I hope you get a chance to do that. I'm basically British in heritage, but I love a good saurbraten.

It's midnight here in the Central time zone. I'd better go to bed before I turn in to a pumpkin.

Happy Birthday Kshe girl

MWBW I felt like I was enjoying that delicious dinner and the great concert right along with you.

Last night I had a spicy chicken wrap at Cheers.

Tonight simple sausage/onion subs, fries for Mr. L.

Good Morning!
Congratualtions Kats on a bright pretty star--well deserved and lookin' good darlin'!
And a very Happy Birthday to Kshe. Party, party and then party some more!!!

No patch, no smoking and I actually feel pretty darn good. I was going to put on a weaker patch yesterday..it was some we'd had around here for awhile but they were all melted and no good. So now for 2 days no patches..yesterday and today (so far). I'll be honest I may have been flat out sick the other day. Not the patch or no smoking but just sick! Yesterday I felt pretty good although I was tired and so far today I feel good. I slept better and am not feeling on edge at all. Horray!!

Got my spaghetti sauce done yesterday and ended up with 9 containers total. So that is 9 dinners all ready to go except for cooking up the pasta!

Tonight is chicken thighs. Not to sure how I'll prepare them yet but I do know we'll be having chicken!
