Now I have to go to the store again.
(I might have been able to resist the stuffed jalapenos, but once you mentioned the bacon I didn't stand a chance.)

Tonight I made chicken fried bacon, chicken fried steaks, mashed potatoes, white gravy, and brussels sprouts.

Jessie there is also a recipe forum called What do you call goulash that many shared their versions of American chop suey in.

kshe sorry your BFF is moving from you hopefully with cell phones and email you can keep in touch. It won't be like her with you but next best thing.

carlita I like the Pioneer Womans pages too but can't load them at my house so I do it when I go to a friend's house.

Now our weatherman changed the 6-9" of snow to 4-6" but I can tell folks are not taking him seriously around my parts. Usually when they call for a big snowfall everybody flocks to the store not today. We have been told so many times this winter of a big snowfall and didn't get squat. Now watch we will be snowed in.

DD had to have distilled water for her science class so while at the local meat market I picked up some pork chops. Will try them elston's way this week for sure since ya all just rave about them.

Congrats Lacey~ so glad I got to know you through your posts!
I'm trying to rep you but it won't let me! I love her site, though.

made some chicken stew with white wine and yeast rolls. Have to admit, I think I got more wine in me than the stew. Like John Lennon said "whatever gets you through the night is alright"

I didn't think about it but you could mix the diced tomatoes in before the chx got stuffed and rolled. I just put them on top for the last 15 minutes in the oven. The bacon would be a plus I just didn't do that.
IMHO bacon is always a plus.

Yes, great posts from a great lady, Lacey. One of the very best around here.

We had Salmon patties, broccoli with a cheese sauce and sweet corn and sweet tea. Later, DH had chocolate ice cream (snowing outside) with syrup and a couple of cookies. Usually like to fix a white sauce for the salmon but forgot to get some of the ingredients at the store yesterday and I don't like to drive on ice covered with 3+ in. of snow. Coward, that I am.

And Noma with chocolate and jalapenos and Velveeta! Oh, and lobster - or lobstah, in the correct pronunciation - will always and eternally mean Elston, too.
