Back from camping! We woke up to a dusting of snow in Aspen, CO!! Yikes! Leftover brats and baked beans for dinner. Tomorrow I start teaching summer school for 3 weeks. What was I thinking????

HighlandsGal, what subjects are you teaching? Are you sure you want to spend the summer teaching???

Still have some things for DH in the freezer. Mostly he doesn't like the dishes I like b/c I could eat pasta 5 days a week.
So for tonight I will have spaghetti with fresh tomatoes, garlic, onion and herb - sauce along with a fried chicken breast gratinated with basil and mozzarella. I'm really looking forward to that.

Have a great Monday!

Whatever fresh road kill I can find that will fit in the blender.
Mixed with spices, onions and ground beef.
We call it hamburger helper.
A little poor mans gravy to top it off.
Poor mans gravy is white flour mixed with water and then just slighty tinged in a iron skillet. Umm, good.

We use something similar - flour mixed with some butter, browned in a skillet - for thickening some kinds of sauces, etc.

morning all...both the laptop and desk top at home have died So can only post from work until our computer friend comes to our aid. Made homeade pizza on Sat and rouladen with german potato balls on Sun. Tonight is spagetti. Packed most of the weekend and hubby found a buyer for his car who was gracious enough to let him keep the car till we are ready to leave So much to do...so little time(tick, tock)

I think it will be London Broil tonight. I wish I could go out and BBQ it but I didn't think about getting charcoal before the surgery and now I can't lift!

Oh well, my wife's "indoor" London Broil is just as good as my "outside" work.
