"For A Change" tonight will be spaghetti with a meat sauce and sweet Italian Sausage patties, (I might scramble up the hamburg and sausage meat and add some green pepper.)
I have lots of fresh sage growing in the garden.....do any of you chefs have a recipe that uses fresh sage? I tend to grow it but not to use it.
I really like to use sage with pork, also with chicken, am digging around for recipes......
swamp cabbage......DH is getting ready to cut down a cabbage palm this weekend, I sure will be making some! Its really quite yummy, sauteed with olive oil and garlic.
Gotta have mine raw in slaw. Still remember the time we FFA boys got to take a field trip to a range cattle research center. BBQ and Swamp Cabbage Slaw. That may be on soon. Got any of that Maulls to share? Just kidding. Got to place and order soon myself. If I can stop scanning the old MO photos long enough. Posting some for ya shortly.

its really hearts of palm, from sabal palms. Its actually illegal here to cut one down if its not located on your property. Its delish, Cyn!
Yes! You can get it canned or jarred. Its called hearts of palm. It wont be quite the same as fresh, you cant do it as slaw, but its great in salads, gonna go dig up some recipes, will post them as soon as I find them.
Heart of Palm yes, the fresh stuff is only available at a select few roadside stands. Then the provider has to obtain it legally. Strictly enforced. BTW, they aren't the easiest thing in the world to disect either. May can find a pic or to. You want ever gain weight if you dress your own for sure.
