For fondant potatoes I peel and then cut them into big circles, about 1 & a half inch thick.

The posh chefs cut white potatoes into pretty barrel shapes - not necessary!

Yes, good thoughts to all those dealing with Fay and other challenges!

I am beginning to think that some folks on here are psychic I thought of salmon with dill last night. This with a stomach ful of delicious chicken, spaghetti, bread and salad. Can you tell I'm a foodie?

But tonight it is delicious left overs. The salmon will have to wait till next week. Bon appetit everyone.

I am cooking in dutch oven: shredded cabbage, onion, sour kraut, and apple in some chopped up bacon....it will cook for several hours or longer and then later I will add a couple of kielbasa and potatoes......the house will be fragrant but I bet it will be good.

Just dessert Got some fragrant large ripe peaches this am from the farmers' market. So I went to a local indy ice cream store (I love Arlington!) and got some high butterfat homemade vanilla ice cream. So... sliced peaches with a sprinkle of cane sugar over the ice cream. Maybe two bowls full. Hope I get my "just deserts"

Be careful what you wish for, we have enough here for the whole state!
