I found a nice ham steak for two, have fresh okra, and a sweet potatoes. Unless I get an invite out this will be the menu along with plenty of iced tea.

Oh let's see.........
I think I've got another avocado that's ready for today. They have the good fat ya know.
And last night I made a mess of some beef strips trying to make a stir fry. I put curry powder and I didn't think it tasted like much so I added worcestershire sauce and then there was a lot of liquid from the veggies I threw in so I added flour and made a very sticky, messy coating so there's a lot left over, which will be dinner for tonight OR they can call the chinese take out!
What do you do with a ham steak other than heat it up?
vpcats; I like to grill ham steak and at the end use a prepared grill sauce.....don't let it burn as they are high in sugar content, and so will blacken very quickly... maybe brush it on just before cutting after its off the fire. Teriaki is nice but there are lots and lots of different bar b que sauces.

OHHHHHHH... What a great idea Elston!
I never knew what to do with them. Thought I might as well just make a ham sandwich.

I like to heat it slowly in an iron skillet. Normally that's all I've ever done. When cool weather arrives I'll grill them too. One of the beauties of the ham steak is the simplicity of prep. I'm famous for ruining a great steak with steak sauce so I'm told but that's what I like. Maybe I'll experiment with the ham and find a good way to ruin those to. May will get brave and try elston's way soon in better weather.

Well Nomad I've been keeping track of your recipes and they ain't bad at all either.
I'm the one who has NOOOOOOO problem ruining whatever it is if I have to cook it. I've been told I can burn boiling water!
It's been crazy here this week. I have a catering party for 30-40 on Sunday, and then leave for vacation on Tuesday, so I have not been here too much this week.
We ate out last night, steaks, baked sweet potatoes and Caesar dressing, rolls etc.
I made a big pot of spaghetti sauce and meatballs today, some kind of pasta, I am not sure as yet.
Have a wonderful dinner and evening everyone. kelsie
