Fresh from the garden salad....oh, and a couple tortillas also.

Add your own hot sauce as needed...

Excellent...best bean gravy ever...

Happy trails, might want to watch an old western with this dinner...

The chili pizza sounds perfect. Please tell us how it was! Thanks.

Well, the hicks that live in our neighborhood had a huge stereo system set up for a party they were doing and were BLARING karaoke...so loud... until 11pm... it was not fun... so the deck didn't work out...

SO we watched a movie and had our tapas in the Family Room... it was nice... the kids finally went to bed and the house was quiet...

Tonight we are going to a BBQ... I am bringing a veg dish...
One Cup DRAINED diced tomatoes...
One Med Zucchini sliced
A cup of Sliced Mushroom
About 1/2 Cup of Broc Florettes
1/2 Cup Chopped Onion
LOTS of Garlic--- I love garlic
A small eggplant cubed
Evoo Drizzled
White Balsamic (about1/4 cup)
Salt
Peppe
Italian Seasoning

I baked it last night to save time today (we have to paint before the party)... but I am going to toss it with and to top it with Mozzerella and then bread crumbs and more cheese prior to leaving and bake it up....

Good morning all.

We're thinking of out tonight. Not sure yet.

To anyone in Gus' path-stay safe.

I will. Last night we only ate the Fired Okra pizza. It was good but could have been better with fewer jalapeno peppers. The two flavors were not the best combination. The chili pizza will be heated for Tuesday night.

For tonight nothing special. Planning hot dogs with some baked beans. Wife is working normal job and I have little ambition in the heat. A few more weeks and our turn for nice weather will be here and the Weber will come out of moth balls.

Just wanted to add: Have a great holiday everyone and stay safe. We need ya here keeping us informed of all your new and old ideas that keep us entertained and fed.

I understand, Nomadicus. DH doesn't like grilling in the heat, either. So I get to cook things inside. TG for A/C!

Made a big beef stew yesterday (for the family to eat while I did the Human race 10k in Austin which was fab). It was a huge pot full to the top and by the time I got back there was barely a bowlful left!! So tonight won't be beef stew leftovers with dumplings.....

Fortunately I have some salmon fillets so that's for dinner tonight - it'll be baked in foil parcels with a little Thai herb addition, on coconut rice w veggies.

Happy Holiday - and stay safe all of you in the Gustav zone.

Much to my surprise the local Fruit & Veggie place had fresh cherries, not sure about dinner yet but cherries for dessert on a September day will be a welcome treat, don't remember ever seeing them this late in the year.
