I am embarrased to report that while we were out shopping yesterday, we drove through Burger King and each ordered a whopper. We shared a medium, unsalted fries. At least we had a coupon, so it was cheap. LOL.

Tonight I'll be having scallops, sauteed in butter and sprinkled with a tad of garlic and paprika. I am making a pork roast for DH, which he will have with gravy, since he doesn't care for scallops. On the side we'll both have white rice and a cucumber salad.

We'll both have the leftover pork roast on Friday, since I am going out in the afternoon and won't get home til dinner time. It is so nice already knowing I won't have to cook that day.

It's 57 deg so soup is welcome

Wow, here I was thinking that my 80 deg was cool but 57 sounds down right cold. Our 80 deg is after 2 months of 100 degree weather so I was thinking 80 was cool

For here 80 degrees would be "cool" now too. 57 would be heaven! (It's 102 here right now.)

I am sweating just thinking of soups and stews, although a nice, thick split pea soup does sounds delicious.

The Farmer's Almanac suggests a colder than average winter. Get your sweaters and your favorite recipes for soups and stews ready.

I'm making a delicious party platter for me and some of my friends (Like 11, LOL). Here it is:

Egg rolls (Not the exact thing, but mine's looks like a close variation of it):

Potato skins:

Chicken wings (Again, not the exact photo):

And some lettuce wraps:

Yummy.

Well my fried chicken craving is on hold. Publix didn't have any and it was to long of a wait for a batch so as I knew could happen it's rotisserie. That's OK because it's still a favorite and I'm still not messing around in the kitchen.
