Last night we wound up ordering pizza. I was in one of those "I don't feel like cooking" moods. Unfortunately, we have truly lousy pizza out here and it's just marginally edible at best, but at least I didn't have to cook. LOL!

Someone mentioned pepper steak, which stuck in my head, so that is what I'll make tonight. Thinly sliced steak, (have to check the freezer and choose which type), with chunks of green bell pepper and onions, all sauteed together then smothered in brown gravy and served atop brown rice.

I'm making a Kahlua ice cream pie for dessert, since it's still in the high 90's/low 100's here daily and still "ice cream weather". Maybe it will last the whole weekend. (Yeah, right!)

Happy Birthday, Charley!
Skbs - Good luck tonight

(I know it wont be pollock au gratin.)

Or if you are at home you can make anything special......just set the table nice, dim the lights and light the candles. Doesn't matter what you eat, it's who you share it with.

Enjoy whatever you decide to do!

njmike, I lied. My dinner was a Weight Watchers Smart Ones.

Some of them are quite good. Not much to them, but if you add a salad to them, they'll get your so you're not quite so hungry. I like the Italian style ones, like the stuffed mannicotti. This was the first time I had the primavera and I was pleased with it.

May I add a note about the Lean Cuisines and Smart Ones.......

I was at a standstill with my diet.....found out that it was because of the sodium . I had the same problem with Trader Joes. Love them all but not good for the BP

Just be careful............Now I am losing like crazy.
