I know! Can you believe this snow? I thought it was supposed to rain...so much for weather forcasting.

I'm making corned beef and cabbage. So far, so good. The house smells yummy!

Oh yeah....a nice cold Corona with a lime would have gone very nicely with my fish tacos

Baked some sourdough bread yesterday night.
Will have fresh bread and some leftover turkey from lunch. Hmmm, maybe some salad.

Is baking sourdough bread difficult? Never really made breads before except banana nut bread!

No, it's really easy. The sourdough can last in the fridge 10 days if you don't want to bake at once.
Then you only have to use a small part of this dough and add rye flour. Let it rest 24 hours then take 2x5 table spoons of the dough and put it in the fridge for the next bread. To the rest add wheat flour, rye flour, yeast and let it rest for 1 hour again. Then put it in the baking pan and bake for 90 minutes in the oven.
Very yummie when still a bit warm.

DH has been making sourdough forever. His daddy gave him some starter that he had, and DH has been making it ever since, love his bread!
I am making kielbasa, pirogies, and red cabbage today, with some more strawberries for dessert.
