I had a lollipop for the first time in probably, no exaggeration, a decade when my sister and two nieces visited. They got one each so I decided to get one too. That got me to thinking that lollipops are seen as what children eat, and that a grown man looks slightly comical sucking on a lollipop (I know it's silly to think that but it's true). Of course, I wouldn't let that stop me from eating one, and all those years, that wasn't the reason I never ate lollipops. For some reason I just never thought to get them. I mean I still eat lollies/candy, but I guess I prefer gummy type candies.

What about you, did you grow out of eating lollipops or just stop eating them? Maybe it's because it's something your parents tend to get you. They're kinda fun to suck on lol.

LOL, love this question. I haven't had one in years actually. In fact, I plum forgot about them! I used to love the Chocolate Tootsie Roll Pops. I remember finding the Indian on the wrapper was a big deal.

About 30% of the wrappers had the Indian - Tootsie Roll Industries still gets over 100 letters per week from kids trying to get a free bag of candy in exchange for an Indian wrapper.

If there is no better candy available I'll have a lollipop. I really like the sour apple/caramel ones and Tootsie Pops.

I wouldn't buy one, but I will certainly have one if they are available. I remember having quite a few last Halloween.

I haven't had one in years but this thread makes me want one.

Strange, I don't even know where to buy them. I do remember one when I was a kid that was about a 1/2" thick and 4" in diameter.

Sugar Daddy's?

My son gave me a HUGE Sugar Daddy for my birthday in March and a much smaller one for Mother's Day.
I have a weakness for caramel and, I, too, love the sour apple/caramel pops.

Charms, Chupa Chups, and Dum Dums always seem to make it into the candy bowl we hand out at Halloween. Who here remembers this one?

I used to eat tootsie pops and blow pops up until my early 20's. I don't eat them now because they are a waste of calories. I'd rather have a snickers bar.
