I got a gift of the Starbucks Via and bought a small pack afterwards...too expensive & not that exceptional.
So I tried the Folgers that come in the same size and tasted better. I use it to make a latte so I just
want to make a small amount of strong coffee and then add steamed milk.

They still make Sanka? Geez, I remember when I was a kid and when mom asked anyone if they wanted
any coffee there would be 2-3 responses that would say "no, Sanka for me."

For instant coffee drinkers, is Nescafe the best? Or do you prefer another brand?

Thanks
Yes, especially if you enjoy a good cup of coffee, there is definitely a huge difference between instant coffee and brewed...HUGE!

When I was young and single I only kept Tasters Choice instant coffee in my apartment, it had a decent taste and I really did not drink much coffee at that time.

I first had Nescafe in Greece and it was quite good...but I will also say that at that time there was not anything closer to a regular cup of American joe there. So, when in Rome...

I only drink brewed coffee these days and not too long ago the best coffee I have found is the Kirkland Signature (Costco) brand coffee, it is my everyday, every morning coffee. My coffee maker is a Bunn A10, it brews my coffee in 4 minutes.

That's my take on the subject.

Best regards, sincerely

I have tried Starbucks coffee and I don't find it to be that much better than Folgers Classic Roast.

I am not saying that there is not better coffee somewhere than instant. I'm sure there is. I just don't understand how it could be so important even if it were. I am glad that I can enjoy instant and focus on more important things in life.

But I am also still very skeptical, due to the "taste test" commercials done with instant coffee in restaurants.

Can I make an instant coffee suggestion?

Maxim 3 in 1 is pretty decent.
If you have a local Korean or generic Asian food store, they're cheap and good.

there are two colors, red and yellow.
The red is a bit stronger.

Instant coffee is more popular overseas that it is in America. Nescafe is a popular brand iirc. Over there you also see instant coffee in packets with cream and sugar already in the mix. Tastes find to me.

I just use Nescafe because I put so much milk and sugar in my coffee that I'd never know the difference!

American instant coffees are a joke. They taste too stale and lacking aroma.

Just about any Asian instant coffee blows Maxwell House and Folgers away in taste and strength.

The funny thing is Nescafe instant coffee in Europe and Asia taste pretty decent but in America it is as bad as others.

Folgers Classic roast, yuck.. Taste like mud and they dare to call it a roast.

Nestles, the largest coffee and chocolate company in the world, introduced Nestles + Cafe = Nescafe in 1938. It was popularized by the US Armed Forces during WWII because it could be prepared without brewing equipment. It's still the most popular brand of instant coffee worlwide.

Taster's Choice is made by a different process, in which water is removed from brewed coffee by freeze drying it, as opposed to the original instant coffee process of spraying brewed coffee into hot air. It's another Nestle brand.

I drink probably 2 to 3 cups of coffee a week so instant coffee is okay by me. I always enjoyed Virginia Christine in the movies but her Folgers coffee has always seemed bitter to my tastes. I've drank Maxwell House instant for the past twenty odd years.

I have tried Nescafe at times. It's okay.
