Late lunch - so a vegetable dinner. Salad: lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, beets, carrots, artichoke hearts and onion. For dressing - Newman's Balsamic vinaigrette.

Unstuffed peppers with ground turkey, rice and thin slices of green pepper on top in a sauce of tomato soup, with mashed potatoes, fresh bread and butter, peach tea and cobbler for dessert

I had to go to the airport tonight so the kids and I ate at Sonic and I had a chili cheesedog and a strawberry fresh fruit slushie.

Actually I have all of those spices, I think....most of those you can get an any old store but there are some good Indian groceries around here that carry the odder ones like amchur and garam masala.

But you can cheat and just use curry powder to make it really easy.

BLT sounds good but I think I am doing brat on buns, with grilled onions and peppers. Instead of bell I will use a couple of Hatch chiles which I am getting today. They just came in to our local market this week and they will only be here about a week. OK, I know someone is going to ask what a Hatch chile is? It is just a nice, a little hot, Anaheim, but they originated in Hatch, NM and you can't live in NM without falling in love them. It is like living in Los Angeles and not being a Dodger fan.
