Depending on what I have a taste for, I might put one of the following:
Butter & salt
Parmesan cheese
Soy sauce

I used to put various spices on it but lately when I have popcorn, I tend to get the Popcorn, Indiana Fit popcorn, 40 calories per cup (extra virgin olive oil), Biggest Loser approved, lol - it's pretty good and you really cant beat the calorie count. Havent tried the bacon flavor but I have tried the parm. cheese flavor which is pretty good (and also is low calorie), also tried the dijon flavored, both were nice and subtle but harder to find. Sometimes you just want a change. Yrs ago I loved the movie theater flavored mic. popcorn but I stopped when I found out it had a lot of calories. Am not thrilled how the popcorn gets into every crevice of my teeth also so I'm not quite as tempted by it as I once was.

What else have you tried?
When I was working in Mexico a few years ago, I noticed that they, too, served their just-popped popcorn at the movies and department stores with hot sauce. They also delivered little packets of hot sauce with a pizza I ordered from Domino's.

Of course, I had to try it, and it was actually good on both, btw!

Salted butter and fresh ground pepper.

Sometimes we'll toss on Pico de Gallo powder and parmesan/romano cheese.

Tried many flavor combinations over the years and these are my favorites.

I love white cheddar and butter on mine and there are only two theaters that have the cheese toppings. One is far away with first run movies and the other is close by with movies that have been out for awhile. If we go to the drive in I like to get a bag of cheese pop corn from the specialty shop or caramel corn. By far the best movie theater pop corn I ever tasted was in a theater near Brunswick Maine. I don't know what that kid did to it but I was ready to marry him on the spot. Next to chocolate pop corn is one of my favorite things to eat and like chocolate it hits that g-spot in your brain just right. Does anyone go to the theater just to by pop corn and not watch a movie? (Guilty)
